    Check out this 55 on e-bay



    I don't know who restored the 55 BUT
    Wrong tail pip out lets
    Missing washer pump cap
    Dimmer switch rubber bezel missing
    Don't see a driver seat adjustment handle
    Wrong brake flasher jewel
    Wrong hood pull knob
    Wrong RED Speedo indicator
    Missing jack and handles
    Wrong Carburetor has a counter weight (not)
    Wrong valve cover not chromed
    Wrong brake cylinder (master)
    Wrong coil (black)
    Missing spark plug holders
    Wrong radiator shroud and water pump spacer? Wrong
    Wrong radiator cap
    Wrong gas line
    Generator tag in wrong location ( later year new tag)
    Wrong fan belt

    Then he said the radio don't work , also missing the side windows and he only wont $125K ?????
    I said I would advice getting some one that really knows a 55 if I can point out what I see by just the few pic's you post , worried to see it in real life.

    I sent this to him and dont think I''ll ever get a resonce!!!

    What about the seats........they don't have the bowling ball dish.......

      Yeah dude, NO WAY that car is worth that price!

      Ok, it is a great start to get NCRS correct, but not that much.

        Roy; the black engine compartment is glossy should be Ducco flat black? Also someone undercoated or painted the under body black, should just be the wheel wells.

        I wonder what the reserve is on this auction? I can't begrudge anyone for trying to get top dollar for their car as long as the buyer isn't duped. Let the buyer beware.....If it sell's the price of all our 55's just went up....

          Over the years I've seen many 55's being sold claming it's 100% restored original by some restoration shop even getting a NCRS top flight that is so wrong and missing many original parts .Hard to blame anyone when so little is known or is in the JM . Some day fare fare away (in space) from now maybe the new audition of the 53-55 JM will be done for 55 like the guys that did the great 56-57 JM.
