                      I tried one of the shields and it did not work for me. The space between the compressor and hood is so close that once I added the shield it was pinned against the hood and rubbing.

                      I don't have an AIR pump, so I had to find a belt that would fit thru trial and error. The compressor is pretty far out on the bracket, I think almost all the way.

                      I usually tape the area before I head out and immediately wipe it down upon return.

                      Pat a shield is really very easy to build yourself and cheap. I built one years ago for my 70 and the homemade shield doesn't look bad and does a good job of retaining my compressors oil migration. e-mail me if you want the information on how I made it.
