Need info on 63/4 Strut Rod heat shield configuration

Looking for some info on the strut rod heat shields. I found this pic in the archives posted by Wayne Midkiff that shows the shield. Can some one provide dimensions and a thickness? I assume the piece is steel and is welded to the mounting bracket. Is it tack welded on the corners or sides or is it spot welded?

Also, should the shield be a flat sheet or was it originally bent to kinda sorta match the contour of the bottom of the mount bracket as the one in the photo is.

I need to fab and install a pair on my July 63 car as they are missing.

On my 63 what was left was tack welded in the middle. I replaced mine with a piece of sheet metal and when I tightened the strut bolts tight they sort of bent round a little because the bolt compresses the bracket.

I'm guessing the shield is .030 thick. More or less?

That thickness is probably about right. If you want I can get you a pic of the shields on my 63.
