    66 front end rebuild kit

Has anyone used the kit from the Duntov Motor Company? I called them and they said all were American made parts for this kit http://www.duntovmotors.com/frontsuspension.php and will the button bolts for the ball joints get a deduct? They dont appear to be the correct shape, they look round and the rivits should be cone shaped I just think a servicable part should be easier to service than having to grind parts off.

MOOG makes the best ball joints these day, they are not correct in appearance but are the only onesI would use

Gary, thanks for the responce. I will be going with moog, would rather have the best rather than correct for safety.

John, thanks - I just need to refresh the judging point system.

I have to be honest in the fact points makes no difference to me. Using the best parts in my jobs does.
Be aware there is only one set of USA MOOG joints for the 63-82 corvette, but there are "white box" or lower grade parts sometimes using Mfg names.

I have seen some vendors state they sell MOOG parts in their kits only to find out they are not the USA ones. I'm not stating who that is was but it was a couple of well known places over the years. You can search back about 3 years on digital if you want to read the whole story.

Here is what the USA joints look like. Anything else is not the same. Those are 10-17 posi spiders BTW.

This is what I would NOT use

Gary, thanks for posting the info and the pics. I too believe that when it comes to safety, the best parts should be used. I tend to over think everything with this resto. Moog it is.
