Interchangeable Windshields '77-'78

Can a '78 windshield be put onto a '77 without any issues with size/curves ect?
I read in my "Parts Interchange Manual" by Paul Herd, that they are not interchangeable but the automotive glass company said they are.

Don't know what the specifics are, but "Hollanders" interchange says '68-72 interchange, '73-77 interchange and 78-up interchange within those groupings.

I do not have my NAGS catalog by my recliner, but I seem to remember that '68 to '82 will interchange. Banding/shading may be different, but functionally the same
