    65 Front Caliper bolts

Which front caliper bolts are correct for a 65?
I have 3 of the ones on the right which I think are correct and 1 of the one on the left.
    Thanks,
    Gary

Gary -- your guess is correct; the ones on the right. Yours are the same as the caliper half bolts on my late '65 originals. Also, same style head on rear caliper-half bolts, except smaller.

      Thanks Wayne.
Where do you think I may be able to get 1 front bolt and 4 for the rear calipers from?

Call SSB or Lonestar. They should have hundreds of them.

These are called place bolts. They are still manufactured and available, although they have not been available from GM for many years.

Place bolts are unique self-locking fasteners - they have a circular undercut on the bottom of the bolt head; that undercut, together with the grooves across the top of the hex sections, causes the head to distort slightly at full torque, which maintains clamping force in the joint.

AMK Products has them, and Fastenal probably does too.

                    G'Day Grant,
They are $2.50 each from Lonestar. I did not ask about the letters and I ordered 1 front and 4 rears.
                    Cheers,
                    Gary
