    Alex,
Good pictures of the car, looks like it will be lots of fun.
I wonder what the one heater hose is doing going through the firewall near the top of the heater delete plate?

Somebody slap dicked in a make shift heater core from a late 60's chevy from what I can tell. I'll be removing that too.

Alright. Per Ed's suggestion I compared how the service guide shows the antenna wire as being run to the antenna location against how it really is run. My car is for 100% no radio. I'll be removing all the radio components this next week to put them up for sale.

I have already removed the ground wire and the antenna wire goes into where the left hinge for the trunk lid is.

Thanks for the help guys! I've already located a correct radio delete plate to use too.

Alexander, take digital photos before you remove anything; how coax was run, etc. including the gas tank area and the interior on how the coax is routed to the dash. Might come in handy if a Judge sees an antenna repair hole in the trunk. JMTCW, Gary....

I am thinking that the antenna hole in my 56 is oval shaped. Does that sound right?

Doesn't look like it has ever been messed with.

Ok, I'll take pictures before, thanks for the tip!

My hole is shaped like a Chevy logo believe it or not lol.

Alexander, would like to see photos of how the coax was run in the trunk, gas tank area and how it go into the cockpit? Gary....

Ok, I'll take pictures tonight. Under the dash it goes from the radio to the carpet under the hi-beam floor button, then under the carpet along the door, the out into the trunk by the left spring for the trunk hinge. I'll around the gas tank area when I take the pictures.

Re: How to know if my car really is no radio?

Alexander, in the trunk take a good close look at where the tail light wiring is routed into the gas tank area, way up under the left body overhang. Tail light wiring hole into the gas tank area should have a glob or splash of resin on it. Check to see if the resin covers the tail light wiring and there's not a gap in the resin where the coax could have been run through. If the resin covers the tail light wire, capture that with a good close up photo. If the resin has a space in it big enough for a coax, then the coax that runs through the trunk hinge is likely to be a replacement coax. JMTCW, Gary....

Alex, re: 2nd image #1947 was there any room for a coax or was the hole totally closed off with a glob of resin? Reason for the "bowtie" shaped hole was probably to get the antenna base clamp through it. Gary....

Not a spec of room that I would see, no way I could imagine a coax let alone one with an end on it getting through there. I made sure to look very carefully as you mentioned in your previous replies. Thank you!

My next question is, what sort of speaker delete plate goes inside the dash, if anything?
