I installed new rubber outer spring cushions last weekend but they did little to improve the rear "squat" that my L79 roadster has. The spring still had a reverse arch that was slightly past horizontal so I knew what the next order of business had become. I ordered a new rear spring from Eaton Springs based upon the recommendations read from posts of other members. It was ordered on Monday and was waiting for me by Wednesday. I removed the rear spring from the car today which turned out to be easier than I had expected. The problem I have now is that I've developed the "while I'm at it" syndrome! I'm going to replace the bushings on both strut rods as well as check the clearances of each rear wheel bearing assembly and service them as needed (grease, new seals and possibly replace the bearings with new ones, then set them up properly). I replaced the half shaft universal joints as well as those in the driveshaft when I purchased the car. She just turned 50K miles recently and I have no idea what type of service history the car has so-while I'm at it I might as well take car of the unknowns of the rear suspension. This forum is a wealth of information and has helped me immensely to maintain my three C2's in proper running order. Thanks to all.
