1100950 Alternator

Would a 950 alternator dated 5/30/72 be appropriate for a 72 with a trim tag of June 12th or is 5/30 too late production wise ? Thanks.

Your Corvette received the trim tag on Monday June 12 (K12). A 950 alternator 2E30 (Tuesday May 30, 1972 the day following Memorial Day) would be an appropriate date. Of course that assUmes your Corvette does not have C60.

My corvette should have a 1100950. It presently has generic replacement alternator.

My LT-1 car with trim tag dated June 26th, 1972 has an 1100950 Alternator dated 2E30 as well as a starter with the same date code.
