              Mine must be missing that retainer around the bolt and washer. I'll check the pulley tonight and see. I know the generator and bracket are original...

                                  No have seen just a few in the past , they must have gotten lost . I dont know for sure if it was original . that's why I posted it to get more info

                                      Roy; I can't quite see the logo on the bolt so I can dig through my stuff and find the right one..........I'm still using a 57 Gen. until I come up with a 55...

                                      PS Donna talked about your car all the way home. Now she understands why I'm spending all the time and $ on the 55. digging through my boxes I found the little piece that holds the foot pump cable to the wiper motor. Now the workings controls makes sense. Thanks for the advice. Bob

                                          While you were here you should have said something I have a extra 55 Gen. But F date code. May be Donna now thinks your not crazy restoring the 55 , My wife when she first saw our 55 35 years ago also wondered if I was crazy, but now after we've been around the country driving it she loves being in it and the great people we meet along the way. Of ALL the Corvettes I've had keeping the 55 has given us more pleasure then any other one we owned. Other year Corvettes are common but 55 stands alone.
