I ordered a new, orginal style coil for my '66 L79 with std. ignition. The supplier sent me a coil in an AC/Delco GM restoration parts box, marked -66-67 std. ignition coil. However, the coil has the correct markngs on top, but on the side has a TI decal and 12V 272 embossed on the side. I know this one is wrong, but I can't find this 272 number as the last 3 digits on any part number for coils. Anyone know what this coil is for?

Re: Coil question
Looks like you lucked out; this is for a 1971 LT1 T.I. ignition. I assume you were looking for a "202". I'm sure you would find others willing to trade......, the coil has the correct markngs on top, but on the side has a TI decal and 12V 272 embossed on the side.
