66 Big Block Hood Support

I have a 66 big block with the hood support on the passenger side - it is the second one I have owned like this both produced in August and September of 1965. I asked the question previously and the answer was until early November of 65 the big block hood support was on the right side just as the 65s were - which is consistent with what a judge and restorer told me as well. Can anybody help me document this fact - I have a quote expert that apparently is willing to wager me the price of the car that I am wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I haven't checked it out, but your copy of the AIM might document the effective date of the switch-a-rooney...

The new '66 JG calls out the change to the driver's side as occurring at approximately VIN 3600 (which was October 20th), and the revised Assembly Manual sheet (L72, sheet D5) showing the driver's side installation was released on September 28th.

Think you already won the bet, but this is interesting. I have a 66 StL body BB Coupe #1592 hood support on the pass (right) side. And a 66 AOS body BB Coupe #2758 hood support on the Driver (left) side.

That is another level of complexity - I will double check but I am certain mine is an AO body. Do both of yours have 65 style seat belts or the 66 style?
