Are C-3 clocks dated?

I have two early C-3 gauge clusters said to have green characters. On the backs of each clock there are ink stamped numbers. One is 3289 and the other is 0540. What are these numbers? And I am a bit colorblind but I cannot tell if the gauge characters are green or white.

Scott I am not an expert on clocks but looking at the stamped numbers I would read them as 328th day of 69 and 54th day of 70. Some one else with more knowledge will hopefully chime in, but that's my best guess.

Thanks, Paul. I had a bald moment and forgot about the Julian dating possibility. I'm still puzzled about the green face versus the white face gauges. To me they look the same hue whether in natural lighting or with the gauge lights on. My own 1970 gauges in my car look whitish.

I bought an extra gauge cluster from what is said to have come from a 1970. Unfortunately someone tried to "enhamce" the clock face characters but the other four gauges are nice. Looking on the backs of two of three clocks I have I saw the ink stamped numbers and wondered if that would give me a hint of the year. Otherwise I can't find any part numbers.

The fun part of having to replace any of my gauges or clock awaits me.

The 1969 and 1970 clocks should have the same color on the face. The gauges changed in 1972 to the white color. I would say it is a good thing you can't tell the difference in the ones you have -- there shouldn't be any difference.

Don't forget the jacket! I would like to have a dark green Corvette jacket to go with my Fathom Green 1969 convertible with green interior!
