Aluminum valve cover clean up

OK, I'm not finding any information in my usual search locations so I'll ask the question.
How do I clean the aluminum valve covers to make them look new? I dont want to harm the aluminum, so what do I use that will cut the grease?

In my experience, to make them look as new you send them to someone like John DeGregory. He does excellent work at a fair price.

I did mine years ago and glass beaded them then coated them with crystal clear Rustolium. Aluminum after cleaned picks up every fingerprint and stain, I did my munci and intake the same way and they may loose points for that but wow.
