67 gas tank overflow tube position

I am replacing the gas tank overflow tube in my 67 coupe and I'm not sure exactly where the lower end should be positioned. I think it is someplace in the decending section of the right bumper. But is it just at the top of that area or does it go almost all the way to the bottom of that vertical piece of the bumper?

    Charles,

I believe it's the same as the '66 and will be almost flush with the bottom of the bumper.

    Good luck

My original 67 tube which contains a spring it stops about 2 inches or so from the end of the bumper edge.

Right, and don't forget that spring. The positioning of this tube is another Bubba engineering by GM. When it overflows it pours right on your foot, great design.
