    Woods Circuit Breakers

I have a question about the Woods circuit breakers mounted on the firewall of a 56/7 with power window or power top options. I have three of them and they are all different. One has the number "11" between the posts; one has the number "12" between the posts, and one has nothing between the posts. Two of them have a triangle just below the 40amp designation, one has nothing. And finally the two with the numbers between the posts have the bakelite top oriented upside down compared to the 40amp stamp on the mounting bracket, and the one without any numbers between its posts has the bakelite top oriented the same as the stamping on the steel mount.

I almost feel silly posting this because I dont think any of it matters -- but then.... As Gary C knows I am not the greatest at compressing the pictures for uploading -- had trouble today with that so decided to post without the pictures. If no one can decipher my descriptions I'll try again later

Bill, Can't help with the CB's, but as far as the pictures go.......

Your camera must have some settings to change resolution(picture file size), so you won't have to resize later. A 640x480 is about 80kb, and a 1280x960 is around 250kb. I usually use the 1280x960 as it's decent resolution for here. Based on which camera you use, it may have different setting "names". By default they usually set them to very high res so you must change to the lower resolutions.

Bill, my 57 has "13" between the posts, and X40A on the bracket. Triangle below the X40A.
I can trace ownership of my car back to the early 60s. It was both a power window and power top car. Late May 57 build date. Breaker probably is original, if not it would have to been replaced before 1962 I believe.

So it looks like the number is the unknown, and apparently varies. Wonder if it could be some kind of a date code or revision code. -Dan-
