if they want your corvette nothing short of you showing up with a gun will stop them. lojack can help trace the car if stolen even if they flatbed it.

Even that may not be 100% effective.

Depends on how good of a shot you are and, perhaps, how many rounds you can get off.

Yeah but a lot of Police Departments don't/won't participate in the Lo Jack theft program. PT

When I was a kid, the guy down the street from us had his '67 427/435 convertible stolen in front of his house in the early AM hours. The thief cut the top, opened the door and unhooked the ignition switch from under the dash and then plugged in his own ignition switch with the right key.

He gave it a push and coasted down to the bottom of the hill to the stop sign and then fired it up and took off. The cops found it in a cornfield a couple days later with only the 427/435 engine and the transmission gone. The rest of the car had gasoline poured on it and it was burnt to a crisp. PT

Apparently in Philly, you can't even use a gun to stop a thief. I guess you should maybe give him the keys and then call the police and they will and get the car back.....not...what a joke.....guy in Philly two weeks ago shot and killed one of three "minors" breaking into cars....big uproar about the deadly use of force.....now the guy is facing a murder charge....I think he should be given a good citizenship award.....

                      Do what Dale Pearman did.
Get a LONG length of heavy chain and put it around the rear axle and attach it to a large tree with a strong lock.

Is that a photo of "VARROOM"?

My wife now has that on her Plate because of her "teddy-bear", Dale.

Yep, just like that. Maybe adding a pit bull on the same size chain would also help.

There's an extreamly easy way to steal any C3 corvette. But posting that kind of information here or on any public website is something I don't think to be wise, and I won't do it.
Each day is a gift, respect it, and enjoy it as if it were the last!
