Is this column the same as a 1971? If so, is something different needed for the 71 steering wheel? Thanks in advance. Paul

Thank you Jim Shea. I was able to determine the column had collapsed from reading your papers and getting the measurements.

This is the address for a paper on what parts are required to install a 1969-75 steering wheel onto a 1976 T&T steering column.

Basically the actual T&T steering column (the part that Saginaw Steering Gear manufactured) is the same 1969-76. The steering wheel, telescope lock, and horn parts (supplied by Chevrolet) were different.
