    Ignition coil questions

Are the 202 12V and 204 12V ignition coils the same output? What, if any, is the difference between 287 BR and 287 B-R? And what is a 238 B-R? A service replacement to the 287 B-R (or 287 BR)?

    Thanks,
    Scott Sims

To HELL with calling BR-549 (Junior "don't" sell used Corvettes), I'd settle for seeing the HEE-Haw Honeyes in their short-shorts! Or Daisy Mae in the film version of Lil' Abner!!!

Hee Haw re-runs are broadcast here in upstate NY every Sunday night at 8:00 PM on RFD Network (Rural Farm Network). Love those old time programs. Hee Haw is takeoff of Rowan & Martins Laugh In. Loved that series also. Ya gotta be old to even know what these programs even were. -Dan-

Scott --- non-expert here, so all I can offer is what's in the 1970 P&A30B Corvette parts catalog. Says the 202 is to be used with the 1.8 ohm firewall resistor. The "238" is for the 1.3 ohm wire [integral resistance ?] (stamped 238-BR). FWIW, I have a 238 (embossed first line), with B-R (underneath).

IIRC, I've seen the "204's" on some junkyard 6-cylinders.
