    C-1 61 Drag Link Adjustment

Just finished R & R of my drag link.. Installed and followed the ST-12 in adjusting the screw plugs. After tightening I backed 'em off 1/2 turn...
Both of the slots lined up for the cotter pin, but I backed both off another 1/2 turn...
Should I have NOT backed 'em off on the last 1/2 turn and just insterted the cotter pin after the initial adjustment.. (tighten then back off 1/2 turn)....

    Thanks in advance to all....

    Jerry -

As shown in the ST-12 on page 9-3, "...tighten plugs snugly to remove all end play of ball. Back off screw plugs 1/4 to 1/2-turn plus amount necessary to insert cotter pin..."

      John
Thanks for the reply.... That's what I did -- Followed those instructions...

My question is: Even though I backed off the plugs 1/4 to 1/2 turn AND the slots lined up, should I have backed off another 1/2 turn ?

      Thanks John.......

      Jerry.....

Nope. If the slots line up after backing off 1/4 to 1/2-turn, insert the cotter pin.
