McDorman auction blue 54
Mecum's auction of McDorman's collection shows lot # S58, a Pennant Blue 54 with a plastic hardtop among his cars. Does anyone know more about this particular car? It is somewhat tough to make out much from the pictures other than it has the later style air cleaners and the engine compartment is looking kind of ragged. I have been looking for a blue 54 for some time and the no reserve of the collection suggests that this will sell at the real market value at this time. While a trip out to Ohio is not out of the question, I would certainly like to hear from someone who might be familiar with the car. As with any museum or display cars, it is safe to expect brake and fuel issues to appear and need to be addressed but any other comments would be appreciated.

interior also well worn. roy mentioned selling the top to bob dorman a few years ago. my impression of the car was the top was being used to highlight a car that otherwise would not stand out. -

While the car may look well worn, if you are sreious about buying a PB 54, this car may be very original, body, under dash, frame, etc. I'd rather have a well worn solid, original piece vs a restored example.
May be worth the drive to OH.Comment
