Need assistance from the Texas Chapter

As many of you know, I have been looking for a Yellow late year C5 to purchase as a cruiser and to later have judged. I have found a corvette in Stafford, TX with Texas Direct Auto that is almost what I want. It is a 2002 Yellow vette with a Targa top. My only objection is that it is an automatic.
I am still thinking about purchasing it but really need someone knowledgeable to go over and check it out, test drive it (as long as you promise you will not fall "in love" with my car and buy it from under me) and let me know what you think about the car.
The last 8 digits of the vin are 25117944.

It is on e-bay again! It was there last week and did not even get a bid and they posted the car and raised the price this week?

This really is alot to ask for in our busy world.
I would appreciate any feedback on this and the dealership's reputation.
They are not wanting to take anything less than $21,480.

Thanks in advance for this most invasive request.
    I'm still missing Charlie!

        Rick,
The only person I knew in the Texas Chapter was Charlie. Do you know a contact in the Houston area? Send me a PM if you do.

        Thanks,
        Valeria

Thanks Rick for the info, Reba Whittington got to me first with where to go on the site to contact him. This site has many nooks and crannies. It is good to learn to maneuver and utilize it's information a little better.

I sent him an e-mail earlier tonight.

Thanks so much for your time and assistance.

              Valeria,
It is a good idea to have a good person to look at the car, however I would
suggest that you state that you able to PAY that person for their time
and opinions. You can state that a FEE would be understandable.
This is a graceful way for you to be HAPPY and the other party to
              be a help to you.
We are all here to HELP,within reason.....
