    68 750 gen

Would a generator dated 26 Feb 68 be reasonable (correct as it is prior) for a car with a trim tag of 8 Mar? That's only 11 days with the leap year day to get from wherever to St Louis.

I think it could have happened. Having a part such as a generator delivered a week after it was assembled and it going on the car quickly problably happened in a number of cases. I don't believe the stock was rotated as much as management would have liked. Others may know more about that but I would think it is totally possible given the time frame of 11 days.

Yes, that's reasonable - it wasn't far from Anderson, Indiana to St. Louis.

Yes, less than a day's truck ride. I'll bet there was a steady stream of trucks from Anderson to St. Louis supplying all the Delco-Remy parts used not only by St. Louis Corvette but the (at the time) world's largest and adjoining automotive assembly plant.
