    Standard Deduction 775.15 Tires on a 67

I reviewed The NCRS Standard Deduction Guidelines (2/08) for originality tire deduction that states:
    - 20% for Repo OEM brand, type, size which difer SLIGHTLY from original in design, material, thread, etc.
    - 30% for Repo OEM brand, type, size which difer CONSIDERABLY from original in design, material, thread, etc.

Can someone help me understand what judges look for to differentiate between slightly vs. considerably? Also, would BFG or Firestone repo tires from Coker be judged differently from Goodyear repo tires from Kelsey?

    Thanks

    Ron -

Exterior isn't my strong suit, but I'd think that "slightly" refers to font style and size and other molded-in sidewall details and whitewall width and location.

"Considerably" refers to incorrect marketing/model name and/or logos molded in, incorrect tread rib design, incorrect number of ribs across the tread surface, etc.

Maybe someone else will chime in on the nuances of the specific tires you asked about.
