I always remember the guys saying real Corvettes have chrome bumpers. True or not they are the only ones that I can have the hood open on and be able to recognize all the parts and pieces.

Any time I see a non chrome bumper Corvette with the hood up, I just look from a distance so as not to feel stupid.

Most all the later model Corvettes are difficult at best to determine what a part is or does, let alone fix anything.

The newer stuff is nice but not for a guy like me that tinkers under the hood. I'd be lost........

"Late Models". Which would have ended with the 82 model

I grew up in the 70's and I know I'm a pup to some folks on this board, but somehow it is still hard not to think of early 80's cars as late models even though they are 30 years old now.
That is the second depressing thought I had today. The first came when my wife was rubbing my balding head and was remarking at the strange way that some follicles were still trying to colonize parts of the noggin.
