How do you remove the blower wheel from the heater blower? I removed a retaining clip but having no luck getting it off? Have tried the rubber mallet with no luck and do not want to break something.

Re: 63 Heater Blower Wheel
Greg;
I faced that situation a number of years ago. I had a new blower motor, but did not get a new blower wheel as these seldom wear or break, based on my past experiences. I evaluated the new blower vs. the original which still worked well. When I discovered that the blowerwheel would not come off w/o some force, I decided not to chance breaking it in order to put it on the new motor which, BTW, was of much different appearance.
Perhaps someone else has gone all the way on this and will respond. I'd say, if your existing motor still works, don't change it.

Thanks for the quick response, trying to get the job done so I can enjoy this great weather.
It does still work, but never really blew very hard. Its also very old and does not look good. Hopefully someone else will chime in that did the duty.- Top
