    A Milestone?

Well, this should be my 25,000th post to the board. I was wondering what my first post to the board was. So, I checked the archives. As far as I can tell, this was it:

    Re: Back-firing LT1!!!!
re back firing lt joe lucia another possibility is a defective a i r diverter valve you can check for this by removing the belt from the pump and disconnecting the vacuum line which provides the vacuum signal to the valve from the carburetor if this resolves the backfire problem you've found the cause another possibility is a defective ignition coil

      Joe,

25K! Think of all the knowledge and information you have provided to the NCRS members who seek help with their cars.

I remember GM had a "Spirit of America" theme, You are truly the "Spirit of the NCRS" Thanks for all your help and support.

That is a lot of posts Joe, but you have help us out a bunch. Just think if you had a dime for every part # you have referenced over the years. I would hate to be keeping track of that record.

Thanks for all of the knowledge you have shared on the board Joe. Not only have I learned things from your posts in the archives, but you have been kind enough over the past few years to answer some questions I have sent to you privately. Many thanks!

I doubt that it will be equalled, especially on a "per year" basis.

You made me check - my first I can find was Jan 12, 1999.

Wow! Quite a milestone. Thanks so much for all the help in the Technical Discussion arena. Nice to have some know-it-alls around that don't act like the classic know-it-all.

                      Thanks Joe

Joe, your quality answers, responses & clarifications are worthy of the utmost respect and appreciation.
For those of us who have been around too long, our "Milestones" are Howard Kirsch lending the $$$ to publish the Restorer, John Amgwert's dedication to information that had never been published before and attesting to its accuracy and the leadership of Bill Clupper in the years when NCRS could very well have vanished from the scene, followed by the knowledgable, on all levels (with the possible exception of RR -watch, he'll go buy one) of Mike McCagh. It became Nirvana for car clubs, but the failure to comminicate with members-at-large is diminishing its luster on all levels.
As a member from Texas once expressed, "If you membership # is above 5000, you have no idea what this club went through to survive.". But fortunately it is probably still the best club on the planet.

Thanks Joe. Thats only 5 or 6 a day depending on what day it is. What? You want Christmas off and some time to get some Maine Lobster? Ok. As long as you make it up. I am learning from you every day and I humbly thank you. Paul
