    C-3 fuel gauge trouble

    Hi,
Where can I find a troubleshooting guide for my 71 fuel gauge? Mine pegged all the way past full when 12 volts was hooked up to the car. The gauge stays in that position when unhooked. I would like to test it out to find out where the trouble is. Thanks, Mark

    Mark -

See the link below for the diagnostic routine; the C1 and C3 systems are identical except for the resistance range of the sending unit (C3's are 0-90 ohms).

      John,
Thanks for the help. It was a broken connector on the lead to the sender. Mark
