convertible top frame renew 1971

I have a 1971 roadster that has some rust on the soft top frame. I want strip
off the top, sandblast and paint the frame. My questions are as follows: Is there a diagram or picture that has a breakdown of the frame??? I can't find
one on the net or in any of the books I have. Secondly, what would be a good paint to use on the frame?? Please advise.

I painted my top frame in one piece. Most of the frame is rivited together. The rear deck bow comes off but that may be the only one bolted on.

Thanks Lyle, for the suugestion of painting the top frame in one piece. I knew that the rivets holding the frame together are extremely hard to replace. I still would like to know if there are any diagrams of the top frame in any manuals or on the web, that I can use for reference.
