It was, but I guess he sold it. I'd been keeping an eye out for the t0223je pads but I don't need to now. What's confusing me is the ad that says same owner for 30 years. That's quite a car.

But the guy that Top Flighted it isn't the same as the one looking for the pad info, 435HP 67 is the most sought after fake car there is, there's twice now what came out of the factory.
And like one of the earlier posts, one sold twice its original if it passed.
It's likely integrity of the seller if neither owned the car that long, with intent to get super high price.
another reason to avoid them - there are a lot more C2 out there to have fun with.- Top

Looks like your car 194379s112463 is for sale here: http://www.prestigemotorcar.com/web/...York/40285470/
Very nice looking. Looks like another member, Joseph Verrillo got it Top Flighted and Bloomington Gold certified in 2017. It says same owner 30 years.- Top

Good point, I didn’t pay attention to dates. But in the ad the date on an award is in October 2017 if I’m recalling correctly. It has no indications of a sale on the car was made or not by Joseph. In the initial post Richard refers to the car as his. Possibly prior to 2017 October he was the owner. Just a guess I don’t know. I did notice an extreme persistence in obtaining 0223 stamping in Richards reposting.- Top

I've got other pad info but haven't shared it. There is something incorrect about who owned the car and when. The car is listed as owned by Richard in the C2 registry: https://www.c2registry.org/index.php...3QIPpWnNpsow==
My concerns about what the info in this thread could have been used for by anyone have grown after a little web searching turned up some questionable things. Probably best not to provide assistance of this kind and let Al Grenning do the job.
I'm guessing that with all those awards, that particular car is probably just fine and judging sheets would be available to verify the engine pad evaluation.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
There is only one original pad, its clear that with the insistence to have another pad the same date, the person involved was looking to make a re-stamp pad, he tried hard for a couple of years. No one anywhere else tries to do that, just for kicks, there is a real reason....and as recently as last month, I know of no less that three people claiming to be able to do this and make it undetectable by ANY NCRS person on the planet. The tricky here no one wants to talk about is that the trans was stamped too. Gene, just like that shiny trans main case in the survivor car that everything else had a patina to it back in 2011, the P date was a little iffy, and it was impossible to find a VIN stamp to match up to the block pad. The only way you get that shiny look too is tanking the main case, they did not come out of Muncie like that.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
The difference was that the engine vin was stamped 71xxxxx and the trans vin was stamped 7S1xxxxx. The fonts were the same, but the S for St. Louis was added to the trans. Different trans stamp formats were used in 63, 64 and 65.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
So would they have had two separate holders for the stamps or did they insert the S in the transmission stamp? Interesting note is my 1967 VIN 350 has a transmission stamp of 349, but the transmission build date matches the Warranty Plate Date. My assumption is that they did not advance the transmission VIN.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
Anyone with proper equipment (on ebay) can make the warranty plate, and fyi...
the warranty plate is irrelevant to as built car, because it is made at the dealer, so YA it's going to match ..... someone looked at what's on the car and made the plate to match, whether that be in 1967 or decades later.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
Tim -- I did not know whether they used two different gang stamp holders at St. Louis or just inserted the S for the trans. However, your car strongly suggests the use of two holders. The most reasonable explanation for your trans being one number behind the engine is simply a lack of update of the gang stamp for the trans. That would be an easy mistake to make. You have to wonder why they thought including the S was important enough add the complication of two gang holders when 63 and 64 trans were marked with the same vin derivative as the engine.- Top

Re: Help: 1967 BB TO223?? engine pad number photo request
So is it safe to say they used 1 gang holder for the Vin#on engine then using the same Stamp holder for the Transmission included inserted the S can't see them using 2 gang holder wouldn't that just confuses things ,- Top
