tim, unfortunately the only two 55 that are verified in this article are 320 and 675, which is a V8. nice article, but not much in the article to back it up. the article does appear to be fairly correct, although it might be better to state that six cylinders were produced at a rate of one per month after a certain point, rather than one per month. i do agree with you that there originally were not three six cylinders cars produced from #229 to #233.

Guys - I'll include this document for consideration...have you seen this Monthly Production Chart for 1955 Corvettes? If accurate, it calls into question one of the cars 229, 230, or 233. 320 is referenced and 433, 552, and 557 all make sense. Tim

I think the article would call into question 2 of 229,230,233. If the article is accurate, a possible list would be:

229 or 230 or 233 for May
320 for June
433 for July
552 for August
557 for September

That would add up to the 5 that Alan Blay wrote about. Or maybe there really are 7 1955's.
