John,
As per the response in the other thread, get a hold of Wayne Womble and have him do it. It's worth dragging it up to his place to have it done.

Re: Need front Clip installed on a 67 in NE. Fl.
John, I had Wayne Womble do extensive work on the body of my '56. I was pleased with both the quality of the work and his time line. With some shops you wonder if they will finish the project during your life time. Wayne gets with the program. He is located in New Hill, North Carolina. His phone number is 919-362-7052. Wayne works on a variety of Corvettes and I know he has his own jigs to assemble mid-year front ends. I live in Northern Alabama so you will have further to go than I did but I can assure you it will be worth the trip. He is a great guy to deal with. I wish you the best with your project.

Wayne,
I went to your website.......Nice!!!! I too am doing a bit of work on a friend's '59. I'm using the Eckler's nose(unfortunately due to his budget). It has been a challenge. Lots of dry fitting. I think I've had the nose on & off 15 times getting it all lined up. Views Here. I have the front clip completed and now doing some repairs on other body areas from a accident 40 years ago. They used metal back-up plates, screws, and pounds of bodo to do the repairs.I an now correcting the areas with vinylester resin and proper fiberglass mat materials. Tedious work as you know.
Do you forsee ever making the 58-60 C1 fronts?

Re: Need front Clip installed on a 67 in NE. Fl.
Rich,
Looks like you are doing a great job on your project.
I do not make any parts. I started assembling mid-year fronts with a jig over 25 years ago. Then, mid-years had become very popular and most people couldn't do them correctly or were afraid of the complicated parts and lines. We did them with GM parts back then. Soon GM parts were discontinued and reproduction parts came on the scene, so I started using what I could get. There are many problems with the reproduction stuff, but we are stuck with that. In hind sight, maybe I should have started making the parts too. I never got enough request for solid axle cars to jig up for those and the sharks are easy enough for most to build, so I guess there are no plans to do anything else but the midyears as a complete front.- Top
