    Re: Rear Leaf Spring Question

    Robert,

I believe the late C3's used a ten leaf spring. When I purchased one back in 1981 the spring has ten leaves and believe it or not the ride height is good. This was for my 63 but I have since then restored my original for use.

This ten leaf is in my basement still new as it was not on the car very long.

      Bob,

The production leaf spring used in 1976 and 1977 was GM # 362153, 1-stage spring with 10 leaves and an assembled thickness of 2.390". (1-stage means all leaves are curved and nested together)
