    Holley carb question

I have a '67 350 HP Corvette with a proper replacement 4160 Holley. I have had an over rich problem with this carb since I had the engine rebuilt. I took it off and bought a rebuild kit. I made sure everthing was squeaky clean, and even lapped the mating surfaces on a surface plate to make sure they were all dead flat. Yesterday, I started to re-assemble it. When I got to putting the accelerator pump "squirter" in, I refered to the instruction sheet, and it shows that in the hole where the screw goes in that holds it on are 3 pieces. First into the hole it says there is a ball, next goes a "ballweight, and then goes a small needle. After that, the "squirter" goes in, held by a screw. Well, I looked in the tray of small parts I had saved, and found the needle, but no ball or "ballweight". I remember disassembling the card, and remember the needle, but have no recollection on anything else. Either I took them out and lost them, which is highly unlikely since I was very careful taking the carb apart, or they were never there. I checked all of the Holley books I have, and one of them seemed to allude to the fact that the ball and "ballweight" were used only on the spreadbore replacement carbs.

Does anyone know if a standard 4160 has these parts in them from the factory? And if so, could their missing have anything to do with the over rich condition I was having?

The "trick kit" I bought has a replacement ball, but nothing I could even place as a "ballweight". The instructions also say that, because of the many different model carbs, that there are extra parts in the kit.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

if you have the metal cylinder with a pointed end that is all you need. the other 2 parts are not used. the pointed end goes down when you install it.

Thanks for the quick response. I guess I don't have a problem after all.
