2010 Election Results

It is my privilege to announce the official results of the 2010 Region IV, V, and VI Director elections. The following members will represent their respective Regions for the next 3 years on the NCRS Board of Directors:

Region IV: John Ballard

Region V: Bill Braun

Region VI: Bill Baker

I would like to congratulate the winners, above, and, as an NCRS member, express my appreciation to Dick Whittington (Region IV) and Dale Crosby (Region V) for their service to the NCRS and willingness to run for these Director positions.

Looked up personal profile on these three to find out about them.....they do not seem to be active on the forum....( 3 ) posts total between them.

In John's case he's probably too busy judging. In every NCRS event I've ever attended I've seen him judging....heck he judged the exterior on my 71.

Roy Sinor has had time for 233 posts.

So I assume he is doing this to get his super master big kunna judges hat/pins. What dose judging have to do with being a Representative of the members in his region. I would rather have the directors looking & responding to members concerns than getting all the hat points. Is it about the Corvettes & the hobby or the master judges & what they think they know.

I have no idea why he ran for office. I really don't know the man but based on these comments I don't know if it was such a great idea.....My comment (meant in jest) was only in reply to his low number of posts. I don't think his being a judge or his lack of participation on a discussion board would preclude him from being a responsive board member.

Ther's a lot of people in NCRS who don't post to the discussion board but you will find the at every meet judging, teaching and sharing their knowledge. They run the meets, teach the schools, welcome new members and make sure they feel a part of the organization.Those are the ones you meet face to face. They may not spend hours on the computer answering a myiad of questions but they're the ones that make it work. If you want to get to know John just pick any regional or national meet and he'll be there. It's not about judging points for guys like him, they,ve already accummulated more than can be recognized. They do it for the love of the hobby.

Tom, well said. You showed more restraint than I would. And let's not forget the thousands of dollars spent out-of-pocket traveling all over the country. The action is on the judging field. Thanks
