    1964 differential

    I'm going to have my extremely rusted differential media blasted/cleaned. I would like to remove the vent fitting and plug the hole but am unsure if it's threaded or a press fit. Hopefully it's threaded. Please advise. Thank you.

      Press fit as I recall... I know the '63 had a metal vent and in subsequent years they went to plastic. I am not sure about the '64... Check the LI Corvette or Paragon catalogs.. You may want to get a replacement just in case.

          Jack,

          If it's metal I believe press fit but not 100%. If it's press and you remove it the squeeze will be lost so just leave it in place IMHO.

              64's used metal and all are press fit. It will pop off with a screwdrive blade under it.
