Hey All !!

Got a stumper question from a friend today. He has 56 Corvette VIN # 344. How can I determine the build date of this unit? Seems information on the 56's is a little hard to find.

I assume you are talking about E56S001334. If so, birthday calculator on C1 Registry says March 3, 1956.

Tom, unfortunately the end of production VIN #'s for '56 are not known except for a few towards the end of the production run. Rob's C1 Registry calculator is as good as it gets. Gary....

Unfortunately, for your purposes of 56 production information, my 56 is 104 cars from the other end of 56 procuction. But if it helps someone else, my 56 (4363) was built on (Fri) Sep 7, 56, per Jack Knudsen's records.
Since the first car on that date was 4360, and mine was the 4th unit for that day, that would indicate that my car went out the back door sometime before lunch.
I called the phone number on the card in June of 93 and it was no longer in service. Thus the date of 6-28-93 on the card.
