My switch mysteriously disassembled itself, resulting in 2 brass contacts and 1 spring on the floor, and the rear plastic housing still attached to the connector. 1) Is there more parts I didn't find ? 2) Can these be succesfully re-assembled back together, if so how ? Or do I need a new switch ? Thanks

We have successfully reassembled wiper switches.
Removal from the dash is required so you can see what your doing.
Haven't done one lately, but if you remove it from the car, reassembly is self evident.
Hope this info helps.

Re: 66 Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch
Thanks Ray, I worked on it today and got it back together and functional, not exactly intuitive on the brass contact placement, but after a couple of trial and errors and light crimping on the housing, it works.

Re: 66 Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch
Mike, sorry about the delay, I wasn't aware of the IE9 compatibility issue noted in the sticky so I couldn't reply. First ensure that you have all the parts, especially if the switch came apart. Second be sure and remove the switch from the dash, or it will be very difficult to re-assemble. The brass contacts are the trickiest, but they only work 1 way, when you get them right the switch detents will feel right and will work electrically. Pre-assemble loosely in a vise first, then crimp when correct. PM me if you wish. Good Luck, Lyle- Top
