Thought I would share what we have found on the naked body of my brother's '62.
I took it to the local fiberglass guru and after a days work he has uncovered most all the damage to be repaired.
The worst is going to be the passenger's front fender that the pallet of etched glass fell on when my brother had it stored in his glass business warehouse. I can understand better now why he went to his office and wouldn't come out!
My fiberglass guy is assuring me, as is my body and paint guy, that he can make it look like new. All with fiberglass and no bondo! I am in the process of buying the needed bonding strips to do the repairs. Just have to make sure we get the correct pieces so they don't have to be sent back.
Has anyone used the bonding adhesive and filler from Corvette Central call "Fiber Glue"? Is it any good or can I get the same thing locally? NAPA? Any suggestions on what would be good to use if this is nothing special?
Wish us luck, we may need lots of it on this part.
