Does anyone know the subjects of the judging seminars that are going to be at Old Town, Kissimmee? Also, do you have to sign up prior to attend the seminars and if the seminars are advanced can anyone participate?

Re: Judging Seminars for Florida Regional
I can only speak to the Advanced Judging Seminars, and the subject of those is always dependant on the cars available for us to use as examples. Unfortunately we don't know what those will be until we arrive on Wednesday. The sign up for those will be at the judging tent on the show field -- or at least that is where it has been for the last five years or so.
There may be other seminars, but I am not involved in those and can not answer about them. Contacting one of the meet administrators might be helpful for those events.Terry- Top

Re: Judging Seminars for Florida Regional
To answer the last part of your question, the Advanced Seminars are open to anyone that is a current NCRS member and is registered for the Florida Regional. In my past experience, the attendance space has been limited, so you should try to sign up at the show field judging tent as soon as you get there.Chuck Lyman

Rex, register online and it's $70.00, One point for the Judging School on Thursday and two points for being an OJ. There is also Terry's Advanced Judging School which is worth 3 points.
You can't get all your points, max of 7 at a Regional, in schools but I think you could get a total of 5. Two for the OJ and 3 for the school.
I do believe that you need to sign-up for the schools when you register or they will probably be full when you get there. Especially the Thursday School with Dave Brigham.

Re: Judging Seminars for Florida Regional
Harry, Thanks, I've registered! After all the talk I've read I'll have to continue to keep chipping away and if I live long enough, maybe I'll be chosen as a judge. I just got started late in life doing this NCRS experience. I was a Production Supervisor at General Tire & Rubber, Marion, Indiana, where C-2, C-3 and C-4 Corvette panels were made for 32 yrs of 10 Hr. shifts, 6-7 days a week.- Top

Rex, start volunteering as an Observer Judge and get to know the Team Leaders. That's the way to work your way up to be a Judge. Gary....NCRS Texas Chapter

Re: Judging Seminars for Florida Regional
General Tire closed down in 1992 and started a new plant in Shelbyville, Indiana. Corvette body panels were made there until about 2010. Now there making them in Huntington, Indiana.
I actually worked 3 months at Active Products until they closed in 1998. Building is still there but no metal stamping.- Top
