I know what the judging guide says but I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a real non dot redline made by goodyear or uniroyal. I have the original spare on mine and its a firestone super sport. Every car that I have seen over the years with real non dot tires were firestones. I would like to know if it's a coincidence or am I on to something? Thanks in advance.

Re: 67 non dot redline tires
I do not profess to be a '67 expert, but I have to agree with you Steve. I cannot ever remember seeing a GY redline. I remember the late Roby Price offering $12k for a set mounted on original bolt on's. This was about 25 years agoDick Whittington- Top

Re: 67 non dot redline tires
Dick, thats what I believe but would like to know for sure especially with regards to Goodyears. A friend who collects unrestored 67s just told me that he has seen original non dot Uniroyals but not Goodyears
John, I owned a low mile 68 and it also had non dot Goodyears.- Top

Re: 67 non dot redline tires
I have 4 Goodyear non DOT F-70 -15 Redlines but the sidewalls are dry rotted, They would work with tubes in them.
Tires more that 10 years old with air in them are dangerous, see some of the posts from early this year, they will take out and entire quarter panel.
Sure they'd work for in & out of a trailer, but I'd not take that risk.- Top

Re: 67 non dot redline tires
Thanks for the repies. Perhaps I should be more specific. Has anyone ever seen a real 775/15 non dot redline GY tire that is correct for a 67? I would love to see a picture of one if possible. Perhaps a revision in the judging manual is in order?- Top

Re: 67 non dot redline tires
Hi Steve I have never seen a 67 goodyear red line only FS super sports, Terry was making redlines and goldlines for years a long time ago and guys would remove the DOT off them, if the manual calls for gy for 67 I think its wrong, along with some 40-50 items in the new 63 manual. Phil 8063- Top
