    68-72 Seat Shims

What is the application for the longer rectangular (2 hole) seat shim? On my 68 they are the shorter rectangular type. There's a set currently on ebay.

Jack. The shorter ones are used in 68 and 69 and the longer ones are used for 70 - 77 according to the reproduction sets listed in the catalogs I have.

Are you saying that your shorter, rectangular type do not have 2 holes for attachment?

Joe, mine do have the two holes and are correct for the 68. I came across the longer ones and wondered what they were for.

No, I thought that's what you were saying by stating that the longer version has 2 holes, implying that the shorter ones did not. The shorter rectangular do have 2 holes.
