    Photo needed THM400 and 3x2

I need the vacuum line from the trans to the intake manifold. I bought one from Paragon which is a "replacement" for 69 but it seems to be designed for a single carb manifold. Does anyone have a picture of the area around the distributor and rear carb with an automatic? Or any photos showing this line up by the engine? Any leads on where I could get the correct line? It never ends....

The AIM does not give any guidance. It is probably supposed to be the same tube as other applications just bent. I need a photo to see "how" it was bent.

I would guess the vacuum tube for the M40 with 3 Holleys came to St Louis pre-bent. The installers had to chose the proper tube for the application. At least that would be my guess. Bending the tube very much on the line would slow installation and could lead to noise in operation.

It might. I will install the ignition shielding doghouse and see if the line I have goes around it as in the photo. Thanks!

If you want a version that will blow up bigger, send me a PM with your email address and I will send you the original. We can't send attachments through this board.

This might be good enought. I need to see if the line I have goes around the ignition shielding as does the line in your photo. The end of the line is *right* at the fitting on the intake manifold but not lined up with any of the ports.

I wasn't able to get the ignition shielding on today to see how the line is routed relative to it but I did take this photo. The line I have looks different that the one in Terry's photo.

That is what it looks like to me too. I hate to twist hard lines they should really only be bent. I have no problem getting the line to mate, my concern is to do it in a way that was typical of production.

I understand, but the twist will be in a fairly long run and shouldn't present too much of a problem.
