On a 1960 of the 10,000 or so Corvettes made roughly half didn't have hard tops ordered. Did these 5000 or so cars that didn't have the hard tops get the hard top fittings installed on the rear lift deck anyway and did these cars get the chrome guides installed between the lift deck and the door jam. And is this small area between the lift deck lid and the door jam just left empty and painted?

Re: 1960 corvette
I think most all cars that didnt get a hardtop got a soft top only and would still have the latches on the rear deck . I think it was an option either or , or both . If they didnt come with a hard top they wont have the 3 receiver nuts in the deck lid . Stan- Top
