Engine build date question

How can I find out what the build date is of a motor. I have a 1967 427, 435 hp. The vin is 194677s104820, engine code is T 11 15 JE. What I think it is the assy date for the motor would be is Nov 15 1966. Does this sound right to everybody????

Yes. I'd say you are correct ! Hopefully the casting date falls in line with assembly date as well.

The casting number is on the driver's side rear flange of the block, and the casting date is on the passenger side of the block, above the pan rail, just forward of the starter, and it's upside-down.

Hi George. I remember seeing your car when it was for sale at one time. Some of the ads stated the casting number was 3904351.

427 435HP #104746 is dated 11-16 on the pad. Cast date is J 14 6 which equals Oct 14th, 66. Hope that helps
