    '66 Paint Questions

OK, "Baby" is finally getting painted this week. Nassau Blue. Can't wait!
But, exterior paint is not the issue.

I was wondering if you guys would chime-in to suggest what company provides the closest match for the black out of the skirts and firewall. We'll spray vs. the original "mitting" process.

Got the frame back recently enough and was painted chassis black, but the paint he used doesn't provide protection from gasoline, etc. Gonna do it again with something more protective. Not gonna use the original asphalt based stuff. I'd like to try something a little more state of the art that hopefully goes over well with NCRS.

A friend of mine used that 2-stage chassis/frame paint from Eastwood that has an activator. Anybody?

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

i use PPG DP 90 non sanding epoxy primer for all of my black outs, it is catalyzed, about the right amount of shine or lack there of, [ you can always add more flatner ] what i really like about it is it fairly chemical resistant, cleans up nice and lasts, it's kind of pricey, but worth every penny
