I put a Corvette Central off road system on my 62 340 HP about 15 years ago, it still sounds great without any annoying drone when on the highway. I think the crossover pipe might help.The fit was and still is fine.

I recently installed the same system from CC (off road mufflers) on my 57 FI car. The passenger side is a little low where it passes through the frame but no rattles. The sound is also great, it actually sounds like a V8 engine.

I just put a complete Corvette central system (62 340hp) on last month an it was a near perfect fit. The only place that I had a little trouble was getting the center hanger clamps (at the X) to align properly with the pipe connection.

I previously had the oval mufflers and went to off road (Its the wifes car and she wanted it louder). Outside the car near the back it is definitely louder, but inside the cockpit it is only a little bit louder.

I recently purchased and installed a complete off road system from Paragon and had no problems with fit or finish.
I also recently fired it up just to hear how it sounds and it sounds terrific.
Nice deep throatie sound in the back and nice low purr in the front. I don't have the body on so can't attest to what it will sound like in the cabin.

I can't wait to get it out on the road and hear it.
