    091 Coil embossed number location

On the 091 coil, would someone please verify the location of the 091 / 12V stamp for a '63 car? Ken Kayser's article says the embossed location should be at the top in 63 (and all the way up to March 67). Someone else is telling me the opposite is true, and the 091 at the bottom is correct for 63. I'd like some more input to break the tie between Ken's article and the person telling me otherwise. Thanks!

Eric, My March 14th car has the 091 on the bottom and is original to car. and with the coil bracket installed it cannot be seen.

Erik, Your question pops up couple of times a year.
Since I went nuts finding a NOS for my Feb/Mar 63 I took some notes.
Go back here and look at Gene Manno's post around March 21, 2010. JD

        Erik,

Check out this thread from some time ago, there are pics of my 091 coil I believe from the 63 time frame. There are the bumps in the tower for the new style washers that go under the primary wires and yet the four holes are still there for the old style washers.

Great article references - thanks! I did a lot of searching before posting, and kept coming up short...just figured out why. 091 as a search term is too short. Searching for 091 Coil apparently just searches for "Coil". I noticed this when I tried to search the above articles to see why I wasn't seeing them earlier, and this message was returned with the search, "The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: 091"

Nice NOS 091 ignition coil on ebay. Missing the retainers on the hex nuts but otherwise correct. Original box, etc.
