I have no facts to base this on other than memory, but I think the bottom one is correct. Make no decisions on my reply !!!

Tom, I believe you are right, The repro.s are the wrong color red, the factory emblems are dark red as in the bottom.

If you decide that the bottom red is correct, take the correct one to the drug store and get the correct shade of nail polish to match and repaint the incorrect one.

Best that I remember Trim Parts emblems are painted dark red

So far...looks like 4-0 in favor of the bottom emblem as most typical of late 1970's C3 emblem red.

The black and white sequence on the right side is different on the two examples too. Which of those is correct?

Is that better (I added the s and the late)? Don't want you to lose sleep over it since you gained it from the other thread. Master of the obvious!

Greg, the bottom emblem appears to be a correct emblem, so the blk& white must be correct. the top one is a repro. Good pick-up on that, I am sure that hasn't made the 78/82 judging manuel. In the 70-72 manuel- The horn button - the black and white flags are spelled out.

Early 78 had White in the upper right corner as shown in the top emblem
