Its on page 25 of the most recent Driveline. I ordered some, way before Christmas, I'm still waiting. I'll post when (if ever) they arrive.

I recently sold an NOS set on EBAY. I got them with a 66 and the guy was collecting NOS stuff for the 66. I opened them up and discovered what they really were!!

Are any of the new ones claiming to be "Anodized"? I have repros on mine from many years ago and prefer them because they don't scratch so easy like my originals. However, if the new repros are not anodized then they are not correct.

The judges at the '08 winter regional nibbed us because ours didn't have 13 ridges in the grooves. Do the new repros have 13?

          Rich

edit...I should've said 13 grooves in the ridges.

Just checked my originals. They are 4 hole, 13 grooves (x2) and anodized (scratched). My car was a July 9 build. I really like my repos better with the 11 grooves and no anodizing. They are easier to clean and don't scratch. BTW, I was at Eckler's yesterday and the ones they had on display looked the same as my repos, both 4 and 6 hole. That's not to say what may be available by order are the same (I'm not too crazy about their new show room. They mix all the years [C-1 thru 6] together with their Chevy parts [tri 5 and up]).

I ordered a set on the 1/10 from trim parts and received them on 1/13/11 and am very pleased with them. They supplied screws with them, however they are undersized. The original had a shaft diameter of 0.185 and a head size of 0.316, the supplied screws were shaft 0.160 and head size of 0 .256. They fall right into the hole barley touching. I am nearly finished on my 63 Coup. I just installed all the carpet and trim in the back, very hard but I am pleased at the way it looks. I am traveling to FL at the end of the month for the regional at Kissimmee. Hopefully it will be warm, 70 would be a god send. Hope to meet some of you there.

Carl, Your sill screws should be 9417945, perhaps somebody can look up the spec for you. That will be the real story.

As I recall the sill screws were all #10-16X1 however the earlier ones may have had a larger head. Change appears to have been around 3/27/64 by ECR 6265.

Now just to add to the confusion the pn 9419363 seems to have come next in line while the 3797499 started to be used from 3/27/64 via that ECN.

One other thing you can check is that the screws used on the seat back bumper - (holds the bumper to lower frame) are the same screws. Note the size of the hole in the bumper - do not think a #10 head can fit inside, must use a #8 head??? Been a while since I looked at this problem but that's what I recall.

                        Re: New Sill Plates

Just got my sill plates; apparently Trim Parts lost my original order, but they were great to deal with and got the parts out immediately. Delivered them in two days.

The sill plates are very, very nice. I've included pics of old and new parts. The supplied screws are wrong, though, so I suggest you re-use the originals.

If you like the 63/64 sill plates from Trim Parts you'll love their 67s.The Cincy Chapter toured their facility Tuesday evening and I feel they deserve our business. They sincerly try to reproduce every detail in their products that GM put in them originally. It's only my opinion ,but I feel they produce some of the finest most correct reproductions in the industry, and they're Made in America.
